The 2012 Monster Energy AMA Supercross series went to Seattle, Washington for round number fifteen of the Supercross Class series and round seven of the Western Regional Lites Championship.

In the Supercross Class, the theme of the 2012 season continued when Monster Energy/Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto went down on lap one and left the track with what appeared to be a bad knee injury. With RV out of the race, the stage was set to finally see a new winner in the series. The race for the win and the fast lap of the night came down to two friends that have never won a premier Supercross Class Main Event before. Red Bull/KTM’s Ken Roczen and L&MC/Honda’s Andrew Short battled for most of the twenty laps with Roczen winning the battle for the fast lap of the night (54.095) and Shorty scoring the ultimate prize of the 2012 Seattle Supercross Main Event win.

In Seattle, the Western Regional Lites reconvened after a long break with GEICO Powersports/Honda’s Eli Tomac and Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Dean Wilson separated by a mere two points in the Championship. The two Championship contenders put on a hell of a show fighting for second position, but it was Star/Valli/Yamaha’s Ryan Sipes with the fastest lap and the Seattle Supercross win. Ryan grabbed the early lead and, while trying to get away from the Championship battle behind him, threw down the fastest lap of 54.590.

Check out the lap charts below to see how both Main Events played out, plus how the Lites Class and Supercross Class stacked up against each other.

On the left of each graph, you will notice the lap times and the numbers on the bottom signifying each lap. Below that, we have the top five riders in the order they finished and each lap time from the Main Event after their name. Also, note that each rider’s fastest lap is shaded in blue.
