Josh Grant broke his right ankle and tore a tendon off his shoulder at Anaheim 3. What’s crazy is the heat race that he broke his ankle in at A3 was one if his best rides of the year. He tore the tendon in his shoulder in the A3 main event and finished 18th after only finishing ten laps. Early last week, Jeremy Albrecht tweeted a nasty photo of a black and blue body part that, had we not noticed the toes, we may not have been able to tell was Josh’s ankle.

Josh got an MRI and was told it was okay to ride on if he could take the pain, but in practice in San Diego, he crashed again and called it a day. He said on SPEEDTV that it’s a week-to-week injury and that he’s anxious to get back out there. We expect to see the #33 in Dallas next weekend for round seven of the 2013 Monster Energy Supercross series.

Here’s a shot of Josh’s ankle tweeted by @Jbonejgr.
