Screenshot_121Adam Cianciarulo, the most highly-touted graduate out of the amateur motocross scene since James Stewart, just dropped bomb on the PulpMXShow. Adam told the PulpMXShow host, Steve Matthes, that he plans on making the big leap out of the kiddie-pool and into the deep end for the opener of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship at Hangtown. Adam also said he will be throwing a #2 in front of the #92 and roll up to the line with the #292 for his professional debut. He is still recovering from an injury, but he and trainer Aldon Baker have a rode map that leads straight to Hangtown, so with that, I’ll be surprised if they don’t reach their destination.

During his amateur career, Adam has been nothing short of dominant at every level coming through the ranks and even signed an unprecedented five-year deal with Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki while still on Super-Mini’s. So Adam will join the 2012 250 Motocross Champion Blake Baggett, as well as Darryn Durham, Justin Hill and Martin Davalos under Mitch Payton’s tent. He will also join one of the best rookie classes of the last decade that includes Cooper Webb—his biggest amateur rival—Justin Hill, Jeremy Martin, Zach Bell, Joey Savatgy and Shane McElrath.

How will AC292 do? If his past is any indication, I can’t see him doing anything but running at the front. The guy has the talent, the desire and the best backers and trainers in his corner. I don’t see anybody beating Blake Baggett at Hangtown, but I definitely see the #292 being a thorn in the side of the Eli Tomacs, Ken Roczens, Marvin Musquins and Baggetts of the World. In moto, being know by simply your initials is a symbol of greatness usually earned throughout a decorated professional career, but on the PulpMXShow, Jason Weigandt, who has witnessed all of Adam’s Loretta Lynn’s Championships, was already giving him that kind of respect, calling him “AC.” The kid is that good, and in my opinion, you need to “Believe the Hype”.
