Ryan Dungey: The track was difficult today, but I was looking forward to it. This place can get rough and I enjoy it when it does. I got a good start in the first moto and was able to get around Jusitn [Barcia] early, then I just rode my own race. In the second moto it took a little longer, but I really wanted to get that 1-1 since I hadn’t done that yet this season. The bike was really working great and I was really able to get down the hills well. I knew that if there was a pass to be made, that’s where it would be. It feels great to get a victory here. I felt great here at my home track and my KTM worked great today. I hope to continue the rest of the season just like this.

RJ Hampshire: I just can’t seem to put two motos together. It seems like it’s been like that the whole season. The first moto, I pulled a holeshot and rode pretty well and ended up fifth. The second moto, I didn’t get that good of a start and then kinda lost my rear brakes and made a couple mistakes. I went down a couple times and ended up 5-12. Another top-10, but I still want more.

Ken Roczen: We had a decent day but I was hoping to do a little better. We spent a lot of time working on the suspension and, unfortunately, I never really got as comfortable as I hoped I would. We still ended-up third in the first moto and fourth in the second moto. I’m going to California this week so we can do some testing and get dial-d in for next weekend.

Marvin Musquin: I was really bummed with how the first moto ended up. I had a few crashes that set me back. I felt really strong in the second moto and was happy with that result.

Broc Tickle: I was excited about the weekend. I always enjoy riding at Spring Creek. I felt good in practice and the first moto was pretty solid. I started 11th or 12th. First lap I came around 10th and I ended up fifth so it was a good first moto for me. I passed a handful of guys and felt solid, like I had more in my tank. In the second moto I had a decent start again. I was racing with a group of guys and kind of lost them about midway through and rode to sixth. It’s solid on paper but I’m not that pumped with it. I feel like I could have been a lot better in the second moto. I felt like I should have been stronger

Zach Osborne: I had decent speed in practice, but today was kind of disappointing. I didn’t have any pop in the first moto and got a bad start in the second moto. I ended up fifth overall, so if this is my worst day for the season I guess it’s ok. I’m looking forward to Washougal.

Christophe Pourcel: This morning went well. I ended up third in qualifying. The first moto was a little muddy, but they did a good job on the track. I got a bad start and was in the back of the pack, but still ended up in the top-10 which isn’t too bad. In the second moto I was third at the start but something happened in the corner and I ended up 15th. I couldn’t make passes right away. Once I got in the top-10 all the fast guys were way ahead of me. It was hard to find a good line. I can only get better from here.

Christian Craig: Just had a bad day. I felt good going into practice and had a good qualifying time, so I went into the first moto feeling really good and really confident. I wanted to be back on that podium where I belong. I felt my shoulder pop, and from there on it bothered me the rest of the day. I tried to go back out for the second moto and made my way through the pack, but around Lap 5 or 6, my shoulder started feeling weak, and I couldn’t hang on anymore. I didn’t want to put myself in danger and make it worse.

Jason Anderson: My practice was pretty good. I qualified second. I was up front in the first moto but took a little bit of a digger and ended up sixth. I started up front in the second moto and went back to sixth. I ran out of steam. The track was pretty rough, especially from the moisture we got earlier in the day.

Cooper Webb: The day went really good for me. I just felt solid all day. I didn’t get a great start in the first moto, but I was able to make some passes and pull away once I got into the lead. I got a better start in the second moto, but it was behind Jeremy [Martin] and I know he was motivated. I knew 1-2 would get the job done and since I’m not in the points chase it was important to play it smart.

Andrew Short: It feels great to be back out here racing. It was tough out there and it was a struggle, but things will get better and I’ll be better prepared next weekend at Washougal.

Joey Savatgy: The weekend went well, I can’t complain. I really worked on building my confidence over the off weekend and overall, my consistency and speed today was good. To come out after a tough weekend at Redbud and be up front battling for the win felt awesome.”

Justin Barcia: I felt good all day. I got good starts and that was huge. “Ryan [Dungey] just had a little bit more than me today. I tried to do all I could but it didn’t happen, so that’s a little frustrating. I saw where he was faster, but I couldn’t figure it out for some reason. Overall it was a frustrating day because I knew I was good in places, but I just couldn’t make it happen. In the [JGRMX team] semi we talked about wanting to get that win again. Ryan was just so good today but my whole Autotrader Toyota Yamaha team was awesome, can’t thank my mechanic Ben enough, Jeremy, Coy, everybody at the team, my mom and dad, girlfriend Brooke, Just everyone. We had fun today but it’s frustrating cause I couldn’t match Ryan’s speed. Gonna go back fight hard and try and get em at Washougal.

Jordon Smith: Some bad luck in the first moto: Christian and I got together on the first lap, and I ripped my whole brake pedal off. I had no rear brakes from the first lap of the first moto and just stayed in 12th pretty much the whole moto. I had a pretty good start and was running right up there with the front guys. I was right behind [Joey] Savatgy and [Marvin] Musquin. They pulled away a little bit, and then I caught them some at the end. It was a good day overall. Definitely moving in the right direction.

Freddie Noren: The track conditions changed a lot throughout the day so that was something we were faced with. I think overall it was a great day and this was the first really hot race we’ve had all year.

Jeremy Martin: The day started off really good. It’s always nice to be home. They some home is where the heart is and that’s definitely how I feel when I’m here. The first moto was good, but I missed a shift and that allowed them to gap me. Then a bolt came out of my clutch so I had to learn how to ride without it. It took some time for me to figure it out, but I put in a push on the last lap where we just missed out on second. In the second moto I got the start I needed and was able to just ride my own race and pull away.

Blake Baggett: I’m trying to get better-and-better every weekend. Some weekends are good, some are not so good. I’m just trying to be steady and not give-up and keep plugging away. I have to thank the whole Yoshimura Suzuki team and everybody on my team for being behind me. I’m just going to keep working to get up with the front guys and battle. [About his new test track in Florida] I make the gnarliest track that I can so when I come to the race weekends it’s a bit easier. I’m working hard and it’s paying off.

Matt Bisceglia: Up and down weekend. I had a really nasty crash in the first practice and didn’t get a good lap in. We got the bike fixed and had a good second practice, and then in both motos, I rode well the first half. But it was pretty warm and really, really humid here today. I feel like my conditioning is good, but the one thing that’s hindered me over the outdoors has been the heat. It’s kind of frustrating.

Josh Grant was back in action as a fill-in rider on the factory Monster/Kawasaki team. The #33 went 10-9 for a solid 10th overall in Millville. Photo by: Hoppenworld – Click photo to Enlarge

Josh Grant: The weekend was awesome, I accomplished what I set out to do, which was finish within the top ten. The whole team put in a great effort which made things easy for me, to go out there and ride like I know how to. Overall, I’m very happy with my performance and how the weekend went.

Chris Alldredge: I started the first moto off with a bad start which made things difficult for myself and unfortunately ended up on the ground twice. In the second moto, I got off to a better start and rode well all 30 minutes, finishing 8th. Overall, not a bad weekend and I’m looking forward to Washougal.
