If you follow Instagram, you have probably seen Marvin Musquin’s post that announced the 2015 French team for the 2015 Motocross of Nations to take place in Ernée, France starting on September 27. The defending Champions will defend their first-ever Motocross of Nations Championship from 2014 with six-time MXoN veteran Gautier Paulin in MX1 wearing #1, two-time MX2 World Champion Marvin Musquin in MX2 wearing #2 and the current 2015 MXGP Championship leader Romain Febvre in the Open class wearing the #3. They will try to repeat what Paulin, Dylan Ferrandis and Steven Frossard did when they won it all for France at Kegums in Latvia last year.

The French will be at home in Ernée with arguably the best team they have ever had on paper. Paulin is the defending MXGP overall winner from the 2014 MXoN, has won four MXoN motos and is currently second in the 2015 MXGP World Championship. For Febvre, this will be his first-ever appearance at the event, but he has shown in 2015—he leads the ’15 MXGP Championship by 84 points—that experience is not always everything. Musquin will be making his fifth MXoN appearance for France and knows the ups and downs of the event. Marvin won the MX2 class in 2009 but went 39-40 in the 2010 MXoN in the U.S. Marvin rebounded with a second overall in MX2 in 2011 and third in 2012 and will be looking to help France win back-to-back MXoN victories at home in September.

This team is going to be hard to beat and with recent rumors of Ryan Dungey wanting to take the year off, America is going to have to dig deep to squash the French dreams of winning at home.
