On Friday, during qualifying at the 2015 Red Bull Straight Rhythm event, RCH/Suzuki test rider Ivan Tedesco had a bike problem and ejected off one of the jumps. There’s nothing scarier than seeing a rider eject in mid-air, and Ivan is no spring chicken. Ivan was complaining of lower leg pain after the race, and it was so painful that they had to cut Ivan’s boot off.

As far as the damage, Kenny Watson said last night on the PulpMX Show that Ivan broke his heel and would be seeking out a specialist to find out more. Hopefully the retired former National 250 Motocross Champion and multi-time Regional 250SX Champion can get back to testing soon for the RCH team and enjoying his retirement.Ivan sent out an Instagram post yesterday updating his fans on the situation. You can check out what Ivan said and a short Instagram video of the crash below.

I was having some fun on the #straightrhythm course until we had a little issue and had to bail off my bike mid air in qualifying. My ankle/heel is smashed and swelled up huge so I’m going to see a specialist this week to make a plan for recovery. Glad I’m some what ok cause it could have been really bad. Thanks everyone for the phone calls and nice words…
