Since returning from his sixteen-month suspension with a win at the 2015 Red Bull Straight Rhythm event, Yoshimura/Suzuki’s James Stewart has had a rough go of things. The former two-time 450SX Champion crashed out of the Monster Energy Cup and again found himself on the ground at the Lille-Bercy SX last week. The #7 had everyone worried about 2016 when he was carried off the track in Lille, France, but it sounds like he will be okay for Anaheim 1. James reported today that there was no broken bones in his injured ankle.

For the Australian SX fans the question was, will JS7 be racing down under next weekend. The answer to that question is no. Australian fans should not be bummed, though. We now hear they’re getting two for the price of one. Both Cooper Webb and Ricky Carmichael will head to Australia this weekend and put on a killer show for the Australian fans. We’re told “The GOAT” will take on Chad Reed in a head-to-head exhibition race, and Webb will once again race the 450.

Hey guys, just want to keep you all in the loop. As you probably all know, I went down in Paris and hurt my ankle a week or so ago. Nothing is broken but there’s some pretty good damage and after all the tests the doctor tells me I have a lot of work & rehab to go through in order to make the gate at A1. Needless to say, I’m pretty devastated . . . it seems my only luck has been bad luck lately. I’m bummed because the last thing I want to do is let down the fans, especially you all in Australia. Again I’m truly sorry and wish I had better news for all of us. I really appreciate all of your support.
