Bel-Ray sponsored rider, Ken Roczen of RCH Soaring Eagle/Jimmy Johns/Suzuki Factory Racing celebrates his second place finish at the fourth round of AMA Supercross in Oakland, Calif.

Earning his second podium finish with just four races into the season, Roczen showed one of his strongest performances in Oakland. Roczen began the race as the fastest rider in the day’s first practice, and second-quickest in the second, which set him up well for the night show. His third place in the heat race moved him into the main event. Roczen received a great jump out of the gate, which helped him work his way up to third position by the first lap. By lap five he managed to secure the runner-up position and held it all the way to the finish line.

“We’re making steps in the right direction” commented Roczen. “I’ve been working really hard on my starts. We made an adjustment to the clutch, which seemed to work a lot better for me on the starts. I didn’t get the holeshot but I was still somewhere up front and it felt really good not to get blasted (by dirt) the whole time.”

Fellow Bel-Ray sponsored rider Jason Anderson of Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing also placed in the top five, earning fourth place in the 450SX main event to solidify his current position as second in overall points for the season.
