Team BTO Sport-KTM-WPS headed up to the New England area of Massachusetts for round 15 of the 2016 Monster Energy Supercross series inside  Gillette Stadium for the second of series daytime race. Team rider Justin Brayton overcame adversity while fill-in rider Benny Bloss turned heads on the tricky track.

Justin Brayton battled the wet conditions during morning practice as he rode smart to post the  9th fastest time of the day. As the wet weather passed, the track dried out and Brayton launched out of the gate in his heat rounding the first turn at the front of the field. He would ride solid for a 3rd place finish and a spot in the main event. In the main, Brayton continued his strong starts as he would round the first turn inside the top ten. He would hold his pace and as the track deteriorated Brayton would hold on to finish 12th at the checkered flag.

After fifteen rounds, Brayton is 9th place in championship points.

“It was a tough day” Brayton said. “I just couldn’t get a rhythm going. We will regroup and finish these last two races strong.”

Benny Bloss would make a jump into the 450 class, as Team BTO Sports gave him the call to fill in for the injured Davi Millsaps. Benny took the opportunity to show everyone he was there to race as he blasted out of the gate in his heat race, leading the field down the start straight. While he didn’t make a transfer spot in his heat, Benny would try to make the main through the semi, but would go down in the treacherous whoop section while battling inside the top four. He would then make a spirited ride in the LCQ to qualify, but would come up short by just one position. While he didn’t make the main event, the whole team was impressed by Benny’s ride throughout the night.

“I want to thank Team BTO Sports for this great opportunity” Bloss said. “The bike was amazing and I hope to have another shot to prove myself out there.”

Team rider Davi Millsaps continues to recovers from his injury at Daytona and Andrew Short continues to do well and heal up at home for his return.
