Great news for the MXGP series is that Australian legend Chad Reed has informed and Australian magazine that he has signed a two-year deal to race the MXGP. The two-year deal will see Reed race selected events in 2016 and 2017 in the FIM Motocross World Championship.

Reed will race in England this weekend, and next weekend at the Grand Prix of Italy, it is also expected he will race the two USGP events in September, and then selected races in 2017 on the GP scene.

Of course Justin Barcia has also mentioned his desire to race in the MXGP series, and wanted to come to Europe to race Lommel next month.

American based riders are showing more and more interest in the toughest and longest running series in the world, with Adam Cianciarulo also putting a message on his facebook that he can’t wait to race the USGP in September.
