Team BTO Sports-KTM-WPS headed to Millville, MN for Round eight of the 2016 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship and to take on the brutal Spring Creek MX Track. Team rider Andrew Short, Justin Brayton and Benny Bloss again were on the gas, with all three finishing inside the top ten.

After a strong qualifying session, Andrew Short came to the line prepared to take on the Spring Creek track. He rounded the first turn inside the top ten and would battle for the full 30 min + 2 lap moto for a solid 8th place. In moto 2, Short used the explosive power of his FMF Racing 4.1 RCT exhaust system to round the first turn in second. He would again attack the track, battling all moto to finish inside the top ten in 8th place. His pair of 8th place finishes earned Short 7th overall for the day and top finisher for the team.

“It was another good day” Short said. “My starts were there this weekend and battled inside the top ten. I have always liked this track and it felt good to leave here with a 7th overall.”

Benny Bloss had another great ride this past weekend, with 2 more top ten motos under his belt. Bloss would overcome a mid-pack start in moto 1 as he charged his way deep inside the top ten. With the great tire choice from Doug and Tat from Pirelli MX, Bloss used the exceptional traction from his Pirelli MX tires to cross the line in 7th. He would bring that momentum in to Moto 2, where he overcame a mid-race tip-over and worked his way back up to 10th place. His 7-10 score landed him 8th place overall on the day.

“I had another great weekend” Bloss said. “The track was a lot of fun and it felt good out there to battle deep inside the top ten. ”

After a solid qualifying session, Justin Brayton had to work overtime in Moto 1, where he got pushed wide and off the track at the start. After re-entering the track, Brayton would put on a charge all the way up to 9th place at the finish. A better start in Moto 2 helped Brayton stay on course and along with his Scott goggles providing clear vision, he would ride a solid moto to finish 9th place. His pair of 9th place finishes earned him 9th place overall for the day.

“I felt solid out there” Brayton said. “My starts are there, along with my speed. I am going to keep working and ready to battle inside the top five at Washougal.”

Team BTO Sports now heads to Washougal MX for round 9 of the 2016 Pro Motocross Championship series.
