450 Class Stats

• All About the Sweep: All but one overall win in the 450 Class this season has come via a 1-1 sweep of the motos. The only race where this didn’t happen was at Glen Helen when Ryan Dungey won with 1-2 scores.
• Back in a Big Way: Not only did Ken Roczen bounce back to claim his sixth overall win of the season, he also posted the fastest lap of qualifying for the first time in 2016 and overcame a bent shifter in Moto 2 to pass three riders en route to victory.
• Racking Them Up: Roczen brought his laps led total to 211 on the season, 187 more than the next-highest total of 24 with Eli Tomac. Roczen has led 77% of the laps this season.
• Trying to Keep Pace: Eli Tomac extended his moto podium streak to nine. His finishing average over that stretch is 1.9, compared to 1.2 for Roczen. Their results have resulted in a difference of 17 points in Roczen’s favor.
• Hanging Tough: No rider in the 450 Class is working harder than Tomac in the motos, where he is passing an average of more than four riders this season.
• Stepping Up: In the absence of Ryan Dungey, Marvin Musquin carried the flag for Red Bull KTM with the best outing of his rookie season. He earned his first holeshot, led his first lap, and ended the day with his best overall finish in second.
• Honda Back on Track: Trey Canard made his return from injury, finishing in sixth-place finish with a pair of 6-6 moto scores. In his eight motos this season Canard has finished inside the top 10 every time and is just four points outside the top 10 in points.
• Bubba’s Back: James Stewart returned from injury to log his first laps since the opening moto of the season, ultimately finishing 10th in Moto 1 to earn his first points of 2016.

250 Class Stats

• Long Overdue: Jeremy Martin’s first overall victory of the season ended an eight-race winless streak for the defending back-to-back champion. It’s the longest gap between victories since earning his first win at the opening round in 2014.
• Star Studded Day: Yamalube/Star Racing Yamaha enjoyed its best ever outing as a team, sweeping the overall podium for the first time. Its riders secured four of the top five spots overall, while all five riders finished inside the top 10.
• Still in Control: Despite missing out on extending his overall win streak to four races, Cooper Webb still maintained full control of his lead in the championship by tying Martin’s point total for the day, losing no ground in the standings.
• Mr. Resiliency: Webb’s success this season can be attributed to his ability to charge through the field. He is averaging a fifth-place start this season, but has an uncanny ability to make passes, averaging an improvement of nearly three spots per moto.
• Fighting Back: Joey Savatgy posted his best results in three motos to get back into the hunt for the podium. However, he dropped from second to third in points.
