Championship at Loretta Lynn Ranch Announces Special Events Schedule
Largest Amateur Motocross Event Hosts Great Nighttime Activities

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The 35th Annual Rocky Mountain ATV/MC AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship presented by AMSOIL returns to the popular Loretta Lynn Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee on August 1-6. Alongside the world’s largest and most prestigious amateur racing event is a full slate of special events and nighttime activities.

After completion of youth and amateur rider registration on Sunday, July 31, the activities kick off with the annual Oakley Golf Cart Parade at 6 p.m. CDT, followed by the Red Bull Mini Moto for industry mechanics at 7 p.m.

Practice takes place Monday, August 1, please refer to the schedule HERE for the detailed breakdown of the practice divisions and times. The event will officially begin with the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC Opening Ceremonies and riders meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the AMSOIL Arena, and the following day will play host to the Red Bull Drive in Theater taking place on the beach at 9 p.m.

Professional rider autograph sessions begin on Wednesday, August 3 at 1:30 p.m. with Kawasaki riders Chris Blose, Jacob Hayes, Austin Forkner and Joey Savatgy. MX for Jesus will present a Chapel Service with Reverend Kevin Cozadd in the FMF Pit Area at 7 p.m. with FMF Karaoke immediately following at 8 p.m.

Thursday, August 4, is jam-packed with activities including Nashville Recording Artist Mason Lee providing music on the beach at 11 a.m. The autograph sessions continue at noon with Moose Racing factory rider Phil Nicoletti and then again at 1 p.m. with Yamaha professional riders Chad Reed and Aaron Plessinger, and all teenagers are invited to attend the Motocross Prom and Silent Disco heating up at 8:30 p.m.

On Friday, August 5, the inaugural Rocky Mountain ATV/MC Hypnotist Show is set to take place at 7 p.m. with the Yamaha/Moto Tees Talent Show following at 8 p.m. in the AMSOIL Arena. Wrapping up the week will be the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC Award Ceremony on Saturday, August 6 at 4 p.m. with the crowning of 37 National Champions.

There will be numerous activities taking place throughout the week, Camp Loretta’s returns as a day-camp designed for children ages five through 10 operating daily Monday, August 1 – Friday, August 5 from 10 a.m. – noon and 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. Also, Fuel Ministries and Fellowship of Christian Athletes are partnering together every evening Saturday, July 30 – Thursday, August 4 to offer family fun games for all ages near Lake Loretta.

The National class structure includes classes for youth riders on 50cc bikes all the way up to vet and senior classes. The race will follow a three-moto format, taking place over the course of a week. Participating riders have previously raced and qualified at Area Qualifiers and Regional Championships to participate in the National.

There will be 40 hours of live online streaming coverage that begins on Tuesday, August 1 on RacerTV.com and two highlight shows featuring the event will air on NBC Sports Network onSunday, October 9 at 4:30 p.m. and Sunday, October 16 at 5:30 p.m. EST.
