After a two week break, Team BTO Sports-KTM-WPS headed back to the East Coast for the 10th Round of the 2016 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross series at Unadilla Motorsports.

Friday evening brought an unfortunate incident as the Team Hauler caught fire due to an A/C failure. The bikes and hauler were damaged but thankfully everyone was safe. With the help of Factory Red Bull KTM, Troy Lee Designs KTM and Factory Husqvarna our team rebuilt bikes late into the evening Friday and were more determined to have a breakthrough performance.

Benny Bloss continues to impress this season, with a mid pack start in moto 1, he quickly picked off riders in the first few laps. Benny would keep clear vision, with the new ScottProspect googles and push forward to cross the line in 7th. Bloss would come out swinging in moto 2 rounding the first lap in 5th. He would sprint forward to 2nd and run most of the race there. At the line Bloss finished 4th, his 7-4 score earned a 4th overall, a career best for the rookie and season best result for the Team. This result now jumps Benny into 6th in the series standings.

“My first time to Unadilla was great” Bloss said. “This track was by far the toughest of the season. I’m glad to put in my best result of the year after the team faced such adversity Friday night.”

Feeling comfortable in the new 2017 Fly Racing Lite Hydrogen gear, Andrew Short jumped out of the gate inside the top 5. Andrew would ride solid laps matching the pace of front runners but a mid moto incident would force short to pull off. Short would come back in moto two and fight for the full 30 minute + 2 lap moto to cross the line in 13th. A 38-13 score earned a 16th overall and moves Andrew to 10th in series standings.

“Unadilla was eventful” Short Said. “I felt like my riding was there this weekend. I am having a blast this season and am ready for Budds. Thanks to the team for all the hard work this weekend.”

Justin Brayton looked smooth and controlled in moto 1, he would come around the first turn in the top 10.  With the help of his Pirelli MX tires he hooked up all moto to cross the checkered in 10th. Brayton would ride solid in moto 2 battling at the front of the field charging to 11th at the line. A 10-11 earns Justin 11th on the day and moves him to 7th in series points.

“I felt good this weekend” Brayton Says. “I’m just thankful I was able to race after Friday’s incident. I can’t thank everyone who was involved that made it so I could race today. I am excited for Budds next weekend and to finish the season strong.”

Team BTO Sports stays on the East Coast this week as round 12 of the 2016 Pro Motocross Series heads to Budds Creek, MD.
