After Unadilla, Team BTO Sports put their nose to the grindstone in preparation for the Round 11th Round of the 2016 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Series at Budds Creek Motocross Park.
Team transportation Driver David Rhine did an amazing job this past week. “This week was pretty hectic with the fire and devising a plan to get to Maryland. Dave “Aussie” Anthony and his crew from ADR Motorsports helped us an incredible amount with offering their semi for us to use for the last two rounds. We can’t thanks those guys enough” Rhine said.
Benny Bloss came into Budds Creek determined. A first moto tip over on the opening lap put Bloss in 30th on the opening lap. Using an hi-performance coolant such as Engine Ice kept his KTM Factory Services engine producing max horsepower during the heat of the day and allowed Bloss to ride smooth all moto, crossing the line in 11th. Moto 2 Benny would rip out of the gate with the help of his Pirelli MX tires to a mid-pack start. After pushing forward for the 30 minute plus 2 lap moto Bloss would pass the checkered in 10th. An 11-10 score on the day has Benny 9th overall on the day and moves him to 6th in Season points.
“Budds Creek was an amazing track” Bloss explained. “I’m glad I was able to grab another top 10 overall. We are looking forward to the final round at Ironman and finishing on a good note.”
Looking great in the new 2017 Fly Racing Lite Hydrogen gear, Andrew Short jumped out to a near hole shot in moto 1. The veteran put in solid smooth laps and with the help of his WP suspension as Short would hit the checkered in 7th. Moto 2 was no different with Shorty rocketing out of the gate on his KTM 450 SX-F Factory Edition. Andrew would ride hard for the entire moto and cross the line in 9th. This 7-9 performance earned Andrew 8th overall on the day and would move him to 8th in the Points Standings.
“Budds was tricky this year” Shorty Said. “The track was extremely rough, so I’m glad to leave here safe and with a top 10. I am excited for Iron Man Mx next weekend.”
