San Diego, Calif. (January, 14, 2017) – Troy Lee Designs rider Cole Seely broke into the top five at the military appreciation night at Petco Park for Round 2 of the Monster Energy Supercross race. His effort keeps him close in the championship standings, where he holds a tie for fifth.

On a tough and rutted track, Seely put in a great effort to ride a solid race. He got out to an impressive start in the top five, pushing to try and keep the leaders in sight. Seely eventually settled in and kept his Honda on two wheels, coming across the finish line after 24 laps in fifth.

“It’s a long year and my goal each race is to keep getting better,” said Seely. “I’m thankful that I was able to come away healthy after seeing a lot of people go down on this track.”

The Monster Energy Supercross returns to Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California for the third stop of the circuit where Seely finished sixth-place at the opening round.

Seely wore all-new GP Liberty Racewear, while also sporting an SE4 helmet. See more of the 2017 gear sets and the 2017 Moto Helmets online and at your local TLD retailer.
