During the main event at round three of the Monster Energy Supercross, an FIM World Championship in Anaheim, HRC / Honda’s Ken Roczen ejected off a triple through a rhythm section, hit the ground hard and did not move for quite some time. Kenny eventually got to his feet and was helped off track by the medics.

Today, both Ken Roczen on Instagram and Honda in a press release updated everyone on Roczen’s injuries. You can check out their updates below.

We wish the champ a speedy recovery.

Update from Kenny: “Dislocated wrist, dislocated elbow and compounded radius. The first 30h absolutely sucked as none of the pain killers worked and it was really swollen. Gonna need few surgeries to get all this dialed. 🔴 I have gotten so many messages and was so pleased to read all of them. I didn’t message back as the circumstances right now are just a bit gnarly and it would probably take me a day to reply lol. Just know i saw them! Love all you! Gonna need a few days for further info.”

Update from Honda: After a less-than-desirable start in the main event, Roczen had quickly navigated through the pack and was sitting third behind Seely on lap 9, when he lost control through a rhythm section, separated from his bike in the air and went down hard, leaving him with a compound fracture of his left radius and a dislocated elbow and wrist. Roczen was transported to a local hospital for evaluation before flying to Colorado on Sunday morning to have his personal physician perform surgery. Additional information will be released when it becomes available.

Dan Betley: [HRC / Honda Team Manager] We’re all devastated for Ken. That is one thing that makes our sport so tough—everything can change in an instant. It was such a brutal crash, so we’re grateful the injuries weren’t much worse. The Honda family wishes him the best and we can’t wait to see him back out there. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, and we’re not going to let this stop us.
