After a rough debut to 2017 with a 12th in Minneapolis, the season got even worse in Atlanta tonight for GEICO / Honda’s Christian Craig. After qualifying for the night show with the second fastest lap time, the #48 crashed twice in his heat race with his second crash taking the veteran out for the night. Christian went down hard in the peaked out Atlanta whoops and hit his head. The GEICO / Honda team said Christian would sit out tonight due to a concussion and they would reevaluate the situation more before Toronto.

Christian came into 2017 as one of the Eastern Regional 250SX Championship favorites, but now it will be all about podiums and race wins for him. We have a feeling there will be some of both before the season ends. Get well soon, Christian.
