Atlanta (February 25, 2017) – Troy Lee Designs rider Cole Seely maintained his string of solid results as he raced to a sixth-place finish at the final race inside the Georgia Dome. With eight races in the books, Seely has yet to finish worse than sixth and sits fourth in the championship standings.
The night started off well with Seely getting a nice start in the heat race and was able to qualify straight through to the main event with his fourth-place finish. It was a long, tough start straight with a 180-degree turn, and in the main event Seely started in the front pack around seventh. He was making good passes and working his way up, but when the time expired and the 24 laps were finished, Seely settled for a sixth-place finish.

“Sixth isn’t where I want to be but I feel strong and know I can get back on the podium at any moment,” said Seely. “I’m also looking to stay consistent and for the most part, I have. We’ll try and have a good week before making the trip to Canada.”

The next round of the Monster Energy Supercross takes the series to its only international round inside Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada on March 4.

Seely wore GP Midnight Racewear in practice, the SE Starburst Red Racewear in the main event, and was protected by the SE4 helmet. See more of the 2017 gear sets and the 2017 Moto Helmets online and at your local TLD retailer.
