The Monster Energy / Yamalube / Chaparral / Yamaha Financial Services / Yamaha Factory Racing rider Cooper Webb will be back in action this weekend at the 2017 Detroit SX. Webb injured his shoulder way back at the Minneapolis SX, but the 450SX rookie was building some solid momentum before exiting the series with a shoulder injury.

Cooper said today in a Yamaha press release, “I’m extremely excited to be back racing this weekend!. I’ve never been to Ford Field, so I’m looking forward to racing somewhere new and being back for all my fans. I’ve been working hard doing therapy for my shoulder and getting myself ready to race again, and I’m very eager to get back out there! I feel good, and I’m ready to go!”

If Cooper is able to pick up where he left off, he could add another spoiler element into the 450SX Championship fight between Eli Tomac and Ryan Dungey. This could make things even more interesting.
