Today at the 2017 MXGP of Trentino, 8 time World Champion Antonio Cairoli had arguably the ride of his career in the second MXGP moto of the day. After winning the opening moto of the day, the Red Bull / KTM rider started moto two outside the top twenty and proceeded to put on a passing clinic like no other. The #222 checked in after lap one in 15th, after lap nine in 9th and by the end he had climbed past Evgeny Bobryshev for a second place finish in the moto behind Tim Gajer. With Gasjer finishing 3rd in moto one, Cairoli’s last lap pass on Bobryshev was enough to get him the overall GP win.

Antonio found a left hander after a step up for a passing spot and he used that exact corner to pass the last five riders in the final six laps. We watched it develop every lap and every lap the former champ made the pass look indefensible. Check out videos from all of Cairoli’s final five passes today below. Antonio starts with Arnaud Tonus and goes on to go by Guatier Paul, Clement Desalle, Jeffrey Herlings and Evgeny Bobryshev
