We are bummed to report that Rockstar Energy / Husqvarna’s Jason Anderson will be forced to sit out the 2017 Southwick National due to a practice crash on Thursday. Jason went out for the first 450MX qualifying session this morning, but pulled out after turning a few laps. “Bummed that I’m not gonna be able to soldier through today,” Anderson said from his Twitter account. “Had a huge crash on Thursday. Luckily it wasn’t any worse. Bad part, I’m out 4 today. Sorry guys. I really wanted to rip today. See yah at Millville!”

This is bad news for Jason and for fans alike. The #21 is currently third in the 450MX championship—25-points behind Eli Tomac—but missing Southwick will more than likely remove Jason from the championship fight. Jason said on NBC live qualifying stream that he hurt his lower back and some “internal stuff”. We wish Jason a speedy recovery, and hope to see him back at Millville in two weeks time.

Check out video of Jason talking about his crash and injury, as well as Jason’s Instagram and Twitter posts below.
