(Bercy) Supercross
The brand new U Arena, one of the biggest European indoor stadium, will open tonight in Paris with the Rolling Stones. During three nights the legendary group will fill in this modern stadium, a few weeks before the come back of Supercross in the French capital.
The Supercross is finally back to Paris on November 18th and 19th, and couldn’t find a better location than the U Arena as this stadium has all the criteria’s to produce the most exciting shows and indoor sports. Thanks to his huge size the track will have a ‘US size’ and the spectators will be able to follow the event in the best conditions, in a heated and comfortable stadium.
The Paris Supercross will be the first sport event to take place in this stadium, home of the Racing 92 rugby club. Built within four years the stadium opens its doors tonight, and is well located in the district of La Defense, only ten minutes from Paris centre by the tube.
Winner of the Monster Cup last weekend Marvin Musquin will be the crowd favourite for his come back in his native France, but some of his usual rivals in the US will also discover this new location as Dean Wilson, Cole Seely, Zach Osborne but also Dylan Ferrandis will cross the Atlantic to enter the main and oldest European Supercross. The best French SX riders will join them in the SX1 class, and the event will also welcome one round of the French SX2 Tour and a FMX show. Some ‘wildcard’ riders will join the SX2 Tour, including an electric bike as the Alta will be behind the starting gate for a world first appearance in a SX race. And with Australians Josh Sheehan and Jackson Strong, French David Rinaldo and Spanish Edgar Torronteras, no doubts that the FMX show will be great in the city of lights!
