It’s November and the offseason Monster Energy Supercross training bootcamps are in full swing. With that, we start to hear about the testing injuries, and unfortunately we just got word that Monster Energy / Pro Circuit / Kawasaki’s Austin Forkner crashed today while practicing and broke his wrist and collarbone. “Unfortunately, Austin Forkner fractured his left wrist today while riding in Oklahoma,” @RaceKawasaki reported from their Instagram account. “Expecting a speedy recovery.”

After that report hit the wires, Austin Forkner sent out his own update accompanied by a gnarly photo of his injury. “Unfortunately this happened today,” Austin said from his @AustinForkner Instagram account. “Just hit a slick spot and cased a rhythm and crashed. I heard it snap and ended up getting a break in my collarbone too. I’ve been riding the best I ever have so God’s got the plan and I’ll be back in good time.”

With Anaheim 1 just six short weeks away, this will no doubt confirm that the #35 [2018 number] will be starting his year in late February when the Eastern Regional 250SX Championship kicks off. We wish Austin a speedy recovery and look forward to see him laying it down out east in 2018.
