HRC / Honda’s Ken Roczen obviously feels like he is being overlooked in the talk about who the favorites are for the 2018 Monster Energy Supercross 450SX Championship. With Kenny crashing out of the 2017 series with a very serious arm injury, question marks linger about whether or not he will be 100% ready in 2018, but the #94 definitely feels like that should not even be a question.

“All this talk about who’s side the momentum is on and people pretending like it is all layed out since one rider won a lot the year before he will win the championship”, Kenny said from his @KenRoczen Instagram account. “This guy won monster cup…ohh momentum is on his side… he is going to win the championship… ITS BULLSHIT. Stop acting like it is always all layed out. 2018 is a new year. I have won monster cup before and didn’t get the SX championship either. It DOESN’T MATTER WHO WINS 3 months before the season even starts. i have ridden for a few months now and i have trained frikken hard. I am going to come out swinging in 2018 like nothing ever happened. End of the story. Whether it’s a win at A1 or not. 17 races is the series.”

Those are some big words from the former two-time AMA 450 National Motocross Champion, former MX2 World Champion and former regional 250SX champion, but Kenny is really the only one who knows how ready he is for 2018. The German has never been shy about speaking his mind and is definitely fired up for 2018, but you can be sure his words have motivated his competition even more to shut him up. The 2018 Monster Energy Supercross Championship can not get here soon enough.

Bring on Anaheim 1!
