At the opening round of Monster Energy Supercross in Anaheim, one of the title favorites Monster Energy / Kawasaki’s Eli Tomac crashed while leading the 450 main event. The #3 left Angel Stadium with just one point on the board and a big question mark next to his health status for round two in Houston.

While there has been no official word from the Monster Energy / Kawasaki team, all indicators point towards Eli being on the gate for round two in Houston and beginning his now big uphill climb towards the title. With all three of his biggest threats in the Championship—Marvin Musquin (1st), Jason Anderson (2nd) and Ken Roczen (4th)—scoring solid points at round one, Eli needs to start chipping away immediately with wins.

See you in Houston! . . . @elitomac @supercorsslive @monsterenergy @kawasakiusa
