James Stewart jumping the wall at the 2011 Daytona SX is one of the most memorable moments in Daytona SX history. It may not look like much on TV, but it was one the most gnarly “sack up and hit it” moments in Monster Energy Supercross history.

There was a peaked out wall on the back end of a dug out section that was designed to be a speed check wall to slow riders down. It did it’s job for everyone except a guy named James “Bubba” Stewart. In true JS7 style, he sacked up, cleared it and turned into a full two-second gain on the field. Unfortunately, there was another section of the track turned into James’ nemesis that night.

It’s times like this that James will forever be remembered for and why there are so many people hoping they can get just one more glimpse of the “Old” James Stewart.

Check out video of James hitting the wall. The reaction from Ricky Carmichael, Jeff Emig and Ralph Shaeen says it all. Also, the video shows James crash as well. I don’t think James remembers much after the crash—he was obviously dazed—but he still came back to finish 9th.
