More bad news in the 450SX class. During the 450 A group free practice at the 2018 St Louis SX, Monster Energy / Yamaha’s Cooper Webb went over the bars and hit the ground hard. The #2 got to his feet and left the track under his own power with a broken visor, but he did not return for qualifying and will sit out the night show in St Louey.

“Just want to give everyone a heads up, Cooper said from his @CooperWebb2 Instagram account. “I had a practice crash on Tuesday resulting in a shoulder injury/dislocation due to a freak bike problem out of anyone’s hands. I rehabbed all week to try to race today in St. Louis. Unfortunately my shoulder isn’t good enough to race today which resulted in a Free Practice crash in practice 1. Extremely bummed but I will do everything in my power to be back as soon as I can. I’d like to thank all my sponsors and fans for understanding. No official word on the extent of Cooper’s injuries.”
