Payson, UT (Apr.10, 2018) – After a week off, the 2018 Monster Energy Supercross Series, an FIM World Championship, kicked back into action as round thirteen visited Safeco Field in the Emerald City of Seattle, WA. Rain turned the track into one of the most demanding races thus far this season as Blake Baggett toughed it out to 8th, Benny Bloss finished 14th in the main, and Dakota Alix placed 16th.

Blake Baggett came into Seattle refreshed and ready for a good result on Saturday night. He started out in front early in his heat race. The sticky mud wasn’t a factor for Blake as his Dunlop tires dug in for traction and propelled him to a 4th-place finish. In the main event, he once again got a good start at the front of the field. With the help of Engine Ice keeping his bike from overheating in the mud, Blake rode tough in the deep mud and finished the night in 8th place. With four races to go, Blake now sits 5th in the championship standings.
“It was tough out there tonight,” said Baggett. “I had good starts all night. I just rode smart in the mud and kept it on two wheels. The main thing is we are leaving here healthy and looking forward to next week at Minneapolis.”
After missing a transfer spot in the heats, Benny Bloss blasted out to the front in the 450SX LCQ. He controlled the race in the deep mud and, with the strength of his Hinson Racing clutch, took the win and a spot in the main event. In the main event, Benny got tangled up and went down with another rider at the start of the race. He remounted at the tail end of the field and proceeded to start working his way forward. In the most treacherous conditions, Benny soldiered his way back up to 14th by the checkered flag.
“My night was ok,” said Bloss. “It felt good to get that LCQ win, but my main event didn’t go so well. I am looking forward to these last four races and finishing the season off strong.”
In the 250SX class, Dakota Alix came out in his heat race and put in the hard work in the deep mud, transferring to the main event with a 6th-place finish. In the main event, Dakota kept the charge, and the ODI Grips rider kept it together to finish 16th at the end of the night.
After thirteen rounds, Team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC-KTM-WPS will now travel to Minneapolis, MN, for round fourteen of the 2018 Monster Energy Supercross Series.
