With Cooper Webb out with a broken leg, Monster Energy / Yamaha will once again call on Josh Hill to step in and ride one of their bikes. Josh will be suited up for the final two rounds of Monster Energy Supercross in Salt Lake City and the finale in Las Vegas.

Webb will not be returning until probably the middle of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, but there’s no word yet on who—if anyone—they will put on the bike for the outdoors. Check out Monster Energy / Yamaha’s Instagram post below.

With @cooperwebb2 injured, we decided to tap @joshill75 for the final two rounds of the @monsterenergy @supercrosslive season. ⠀ ⠀ “After Seattle Supercross, the guys at Yamaha were gracious enough to get me hooked up with a brand new YZ450F. They helped me get some good Supercross suspension on it so I could get some practice in. I was thinking about trying to get ready for the Las Vegas Supercross and try to just have fun with a good dry race under my belt since Seattle was so muddy. Unfortunately, Cooper Webb had a big get-off on the start of the race in Minneapolis, he’s not going to be able to compete. I was lucky enough to get the phone call to come fill in for him for these last few remaining races. I’m really excited about the opportunity! I hope that the extra weeks of preparation, being on the Yamaha and getting real acclimated with it will pay off in results at the end of the twenty minute main.” – J.
