After an already very rough season for Mitchell Oldenburg, it just got worse for the Monster Energy / Star Racing / Yamaha rider. “Tough pill to swallow,” Mitchell said from his @freckle_52 Instagram account. “It’s been a rough couple of years to say the least. Had a practice crash last Monday which resulted in a torn ACL and MCL. Doing everything I can to get back to 100%! Can’t thank my team enough for sticking behind me and being supportive in this tough time! Tough times don’t last, but tough people do!”

We wish Mitchell a speedy recovery and hope to see him back before too long, but the recovery from this surgery will likely keep the #52 away from the races for the rest of the 2018 season.
