After picking up some career momentum with the Autotrader / JGR / Suzuki team during the 2018 Monster Energy Supercross season, Malcolm Stewart has decided not to race the 2018 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. “What a crazy season it has been,” Malcolm said from his @MalcolmStewart Instagram account. “I couldn’t be happier @jgrmx stepped up and gave me the opportunity to race the full SX season, along with allowing me to stay at the training facility in North Carolina. Unfortunately I hate saying my goodbye’s because it feels so good to work with such a great group of people, but the deal with JGR was SX only. Regrettably I will not be racing outdoors, not because I don’t want to, but because the opportunity just wasn’t there. On the bright side, I do have some cool things lined up this summer, keep an eye out and I will fill you guys in soon!”

I’m sorry Mookie, but whoever is giving you career advice needs to be fired. You are one hell of an outdoor rider and if you want a career in SX and MX you need to be out there showing that you want one. The reason you struggle so much with getting rides every SX season is that teams question your desire. Sitting out the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship only adds to those questions. I guess we should get those “Is anyone signing Mookie for SX” posts written now and ready for late December.
