IBCorp / Yamaha rider Martin Castelo has been one of the biggest surprises in the 250MX class to start the 2018 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. The Ecuadorian rider came alive at the end of the Supercross season and he has carried that momentum outdoors—scoring points in three of the four motos and finishing 16th overall in the ultra deep 250MX class at Glen Helen.

With the IB Corp team being primarily a SX only effort and Hayden Mellross out injured over at the Cycletrader / RockRiver / Yamaha team, they decided to stick the #137 on the vacant bike under their tent. “We’re excited to announce the addition of Martin Castelo to the team to fill in for the injured Hayden Mellross at some of the upcoming Pro Motocross nationals, the Cycletrader team announced via their Instagram account. “Bring on Thunder Valley!”.
