MotoXAddicts’ Chris Cooksey was told today by somebody close to Zach Osborne that the #1 tore his labrum in the first turn crash at Thunder Valley and is expected to have surgery to repair it as soon as today. There has been no official word from the Rockstar / Husqvarna team released yet, but from the sounds of it Zach’s chance at becoming the first rider in history to win two regional 250SX Supercross Championships and two AMA 250 Motocross Championships in a row has come to an end.

The recovery time on surgery for a labrum tear ranges anywhere from as short as three weeks to as long as six months. We are not sure on the severity of Zach’s tear, so it’s hard to even make a guess on when we will see Zach again. We will bring you more information on Zach’s condition when it becomes available.
