Heading into the High Point National, the Monster Energy / Pro Circuit / Kawasaki rookie, Garrett Marchbanks, was only three points away from being the top scoring rider on the team so far this year. At High Point, though, a crash and injury took him out.

We were hoping it wasn’t too bad and Garrett would return at Muddy Creek this weekend, but he just informed everyone that he will have to sit out this weekend as well. “Sad to say I won’t be lining up this weekend for Muddy Creek,” Garrett said from his @marchbanks182 Instagram account. “As many of you already know, I went down hard at high point. I suffered a strained MCL in my left knee. Me and my team are doing everything we can to be back 100% for Southwick. Thank you for all your thoughts and concerns. Also, thanks to my team for their patience and understanding.”

The team also put out a statement in a press release: “Garrett Marchbanks will sit out this weekend’s round to allow more time to heal up and reevaluate his return next week.”
