The curtain is down on the 2018 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship and while HRC / Honda’s Ken Roczen was not able to get a win, he should be satisfied with his outdoor season. The #94’s main goals for the outdoor season were to finish every moto, stay healthy and build momentum for the 2019 season. All of the above were achieved.

There’s not a doubt in my mind that Kenny was hoping to get a win or two before the season was over but he never pushed the envelope, and that’s something to be proud of. I think the fact that he never lost focus on his goals or hit the ground trying to do too much, is a testament to his maturity level at this point of his career. Kenny might not have gotten a win, but he finished the season with six podiums in the twelve rounds and was third overall in the 2018 450 AMA Motocross Championship. That’s definitely nothing to be ashamed of and a good building block towards the young German’s future.

After Kenny’s 3-2 day for 2nd overall at the finale, MotoXAddicts’ Chase Yocom caught up with him in the pits. Click play below to hear what he had to say on Saturday after the motos. Also, search “MotoXAddicts Power Rankings” in your iTunes Podcast app and subscribe there as well.
