Most of you probably know by now the very sad news that Josh Lichtle passed away this week after falling ill from the heat during Saturday’s race in Buchanan, Michigan at Red Bud. Josh was involved in a first-lap crash with Tommy Hahn and Ryan Villopoto. After getting up from the crash, Josh charged for thirty minutes before a last lap tip-over. Josh tried to fire the big 450, but reports say he wasn’t able to get it started. That’s when a track official noticed Josh was struggling and looking dizzy. The official acted fast, and Josh was taken to the track medical staff and, then, to the local hospital where he later died from complications brought on from heat exhaustion.

This is a tragic loss to the Motocross community as a whole, but especially for Josh’s family and friends. The thoughts and prayers of those here at MotoXAddicts are with the Lichtle’s at this time.
