The French Motorcycling Federation has announced today that Christophe Pourcel will replace the injured Steven Frossard in the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations. With Christophe Pourcel now fit and winning Grand Prix motos over the last few weeks, this switch will not hinder France’s chances to win in any way. In fact, some think it may make their team even stronger.

Since leaving the Grand Prix series to compete in the U.S., Marvin has struggled with injuries but, over the last few weeks, looked to be close to 100%. With two straight podiumd in the Lucas Oil Motocross Championship, he should be coming in with plenty of confidence. Photo by Hoppenworld

Team France will be Gautier Paulin (MX3), Marvin Musquin (MX2) and Christophe Pourcel (MX1). With the home soil advantage, two World Champions (Musquin and Pourcel) and last week’s overall MX1 GP winner at Fermo (Paulin) all 100% healthy, Team France will be tough to beat.

Team U.S.A. comes in with a six-year Motocross of Nations win streak and with one of their best line-ups in years, so Team France will need all the help they can get. One thing is for sure and that is that Team France will have a capacity Motocross of Nations crowd screaming and waving French flags in hopes that they can inspire their team to the top step of the podium on Sunday.
