Larry Brooks has a record of managing Supercross Championship winning teams and riders, beginning with Jeremy McGrath. Together they won the coveted AMA Supercross Series Championship in 1998, 1999, and 2000. Larry’s record as a team manager speaks volumes for his expertise in the sport.

Jeremy McGrath’s record speaks for itself as well. Jeremy, also known as “The King of Supercross”, and “MC”, is the most decorated rider in the history of Supercross – a record 72 AMA Supercross wins, and a record 7 AMA Supercross Series titles.

Jeremy says “I’m excited as ever, and looking forward to 2012. As a team owner I feel very good about the direction we are taking, and the new things we hope to bring to the sport and industry. Larry and I have been working together for many years, and we have great sponsors.”

In addition to title sponsor Supercross.com, the first media outlet to secure such a premier partnership and the opportunities it presents, American Honda, along with FMF, DID, GoPro, DC, Nudge, FMF, ODI Grips, CYCRA Plastic, MOTUL Oil, Mattrex, 1.7 Cleaning Supply, XPC, VP Fuels, Vortex Sprockets, Champion Storage, Ironclad, Twin Air, Dubya, Dunlop Tires, Aero Motorsports and Angry Bikes will be supporting the team.

The new Supercross.com / Honda racing team will feature Andrew Short as their first rider, and “Shorty” will be back on racing equipment he’s familiar with – factory Honda CRF450’s.

Andrew, one of the most like-able and friendly riders on the circuit said, “Teaming with Larry and Jeremy was the best place for me to go. They are very dedicated, and with Honda I know I’m getting a good group of people behind the team as well. I’m looking forward to racing in 2012, being back on Honda, and with all the support we have, I believe together we can reach a new level in the sport.”

The new season starts with the AMA Supercross Series, January 7th, 2012, at Angel Stadium in Anaheim California. The Supercross Series runs 17 races across the USA, and then the AMA Motocross season starts their 12 event series in late May.
Combine the expertise of Brooks, McGrath, and Short, with the solid support and resources of Honda and Supercross.com, it looks like the new Supercross.com / Honda racing team is poised to elevate the sport of supercross and motocross to new levels.
