With Wil Hahn down and out with a fractured hip, the GEICO Powersports/Honda team was once again in the position of needing to fill an open spot. The man they called up to ride the vacant number fifty-eight bike was the young rookie Gavin Faith from Duncombe, Ia. Gavin turned pro this off-season and raced the Australian Super X series, finishing a solid second to Matt Moss in the Lites Championship. We are not exactly sure what his plans were for the 2012 Monster Energy Supercross season before this opportunity, but Gavin will now be able to showcase his talents on a top level team. Look for the #617 on the GEICO Powersports machine beginning in Los Angeles and for the remainder of the Western Regional Lites races.
