In front of 46,017 fans Saturday night at Overstock.com Coliseum in Oakland for the fourth race of the 2012 AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship season, DNA Energy Drink / Jeff Ward Racing’s Kyle Chisholm put together another consistent SX Main bringing home his third 12th place finish in a row.

Chisholm’s teammate Cody Mackie finished 16th for the DNA Energy Drink / Jeff Ward Racing team in his first career SX Main capping off a notable weekend filling-in for injured Josh Grant. Leading up to the SX Main, Chisholm finished 11th quickest in his SX Group A first qualifying practice with a lap time of 56.989. Mackie, who was in SX Group C, finished his first qualifying practice on top of the board with a lap time of 58.952. Both riders went on to pick up speed in their final qualifying practices with Chisholm finishing 10th fastest with a lap time of 55.835 and Mackie sitting on top of the board again in his group with a lap time of 57.813. Those times put Chisholm 10th fastest overall starting from gate five in the SX
Heat 1 and Mackie 20th fastest overall starting from gate ten in the SX Heat 1 as well. Chisholm put together another solid Heat race to finish 8th while Mackie had to battle back strong after laying his bike down early to finish an impressive 9th giving the DNA Energy Drink / Jeff Ward Racing team two entries in the SX Main.

Chisholm’s 12th place finish in the SX Main keeps him 13th in series points with 34, eight points outside of the top-10. Mackie’s 16th place finish in his first career SX Main gives him five points sitting 23rd and a boost of confidence that he can build on. Grant’s return from injury will be determined on a week-to-week basis with Mackie continuing to fill-in until his return. Up next for the DNA Energy Drink
/ Jeff Ward Racing team is a return to Angel Stadium in Anaheim for Round 5 on Saturday,
