JDR/KTM Factory Racing and Tye Simmonds have today announced that they have parted ways for the 2012 Australian Motocross Championship season.

In a mutual agreement, Simmonds will not be part of the JDR/KTM Factory Racing program this season when the MX Nationals series commences at Conondale in Queensland on 1 April.

KTM Australia has had a long association with Simmonds during his career, commencing the relationship aboard a 65 SX as a Junior. The pair have won multiple championships together, including the 2008 Under 19s Australian Motocross Championship.

Simmonds formed part of the JDR Motorsports team when it merged with KTM Australia in 2010, before he joined JDR’s U.S. operation last year for a full season in AMA Supercross and Motocross.

JDR Motorsports and KTM Australia thank Simmonds for his efforts and extend best wishes to him for the future.
