This video was posted on St. Patrick’s Day, and the rider is, supposedly, Jason Lawrence. The claim has not been verified, but it does seem to be likely.

The video is shot at a track in Estell Manor, New Jersey—Jason’s home state. The first thing most people will notice are the #54 plates on the side of the bike, which is the last National number Lawrence was issued. Around the 15-second mark, the blank number plate on the front of the bike switches to big number 811. Could it be a new National number for Jason? It is possible, but it is more likely that Jason is running #811 in honor of his friend Josh Lichtle who passed away last summer at the 2011 Rockstar Energy Red Bud National in Michigan.

Another giveaway is the old No Fear gear and Lawrence’s typical style of having his sleeves rolled up to his elbows. Then, there is the riding style. It is hard to get a good look due to the choppy video and the tight track, but this riding style has J-Law written all over it. With elbows hanging down, the effortless appearance of not really trying while still managing to haul ass around the track and a skinny, lengthy body maneuvering the bike like it is no big deal, we are quite convinced this is actually him.

Although we cannot say that we know for sure that it is Jason in this video, we can say that we are 99.9% sure. Even though it is no secret that he has been riding and running local races in the New Jersey area, it is great to finally see some footage.

Is a comeback likely? Well, it is possible, but we would not bet on it just yet. For now, J-Law fans should just enjoy the videos and hope for the return.
