CORONA, Calif., – Worlds will collide when East meets West for the final round of the 2012 Monster Energy Supercross season at Las Vegas’ Sam Boyd Stadium this Saturday, May 5. Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Broc Tickle, Dean Wilson, and Blake Baggett will put it all on the line for the finale of one of the most exciting seasons of Monster Energy Supercross to date.

One rider missing in action will be Darryn Durham, who sustained a shoulder injury earlier in the week. He has been evaluated by his physician, and it has been determined that he will not race in Las Vegas on Saturday.

Fellow Pro Circuit rider Tyla Rattray has continued his recovery from injuries sustained early in the season and will sit out the Las Vegas finale so he can focus on preparing for the upcoming 2012 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship.

Tickle is looking to finish his debut Supercross Class season on a high note. It took him some time to get used to the high level of competition at the outset of the season, but Tickle has since found his stride. He sits only five points out of ninth overall in the Supercross Class standings and is focused on not only capturing that position, but also finishing on the podium at the end of the night.

“I’m looking forward to Vegas,” said Tickle. “I rode well this past weekend and I’ve been making progress each week. I’m ready to get on the podium and get started with the outdoors.”

Wilson is heading to Vegas with plans to bounce back from his DNF in Salt Lake City. He is aiming for a win, and is excited to represent the West Region when he mixes it up with the boys from the East in the annual Lites Shootout.

“I’m hoping to get a win or two,” said Wilson. “Vegas is always fun, and I want to end the season well.”

Baggett enters the finale off a second-place finish at the previous Supercross Lites East Region round in New Orleans. He is hoping to end the night on top of the box in Las Vegas, and is also hoping for a successful finish in the shootout. Known for being a fierce motocross contender, Baggett is also looking forward to the start of the upcoming 2012 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship.
