James would start out the day with the fastest lap times in qualifying. After getting a 10th place start in moto 1, he moved his way quickly into the lead. A lap later a photographer would cross the track in front of James, causing him to lose his concentration for a second. Jame’s would cross rut shortly after and found himself down hard on a fast section causing an injury to his wrist and had to sit out the rest of the day.
