The 2012 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship visited Washougal, Washington for round eight, and for the first time since round two, we were treated to battles in both classes. In the 450 class, Mike Alessi put an end to Ryan Dungey‘s ten-race moto win streak, and in the 250 class, four riders once again battled for the top spot. In the end, the overall wins went to Dungey (450 class) and Justin Barcia (250 class), but not without a fight.

The battle of lap time supremacy at Washougal was decided between Alessi and Dungey during their first moto battle. Alessi got the moto win, but was edged out for the fastest lap; Dungey clocked a 2:07.061 to Alessi’s 2:07.860. In the 250 class, it was the overall winner, Justin Barcia, throwing down the fastest 250 lap of the day in moto one with a 2:09.189.
