We are hearing that Team Puerto Rico’s Jimmy Albertson went down hard while practicing in Belgium for this weekend’s Motocross of Nations. There is no confirmation at this time, but the story is that Jimmy may have suffered a broken leg. This is just another setback for a kid that has had more than his share over the last few years. Hopefully, he is okay and can get back home to the States soon.
With Jimmy out, will Puerto Rico be able to come up with a replacement in time? The 15-hour flight and a huge time difference will definitely make it no easy task. I wish them luck, and hope they can find someone quickly enough to compete on Saturday.
Check out some of the tweets that broke the story on Twitter earlier today. The first is from a Belgian-based MX publication and the second from Zach Osborne, Jimmy’s team Puerto Rico teammate.
Team Puerto Rico’s Jimmy Albertson just had a massive crash in Hondapark. Transported to the hospital with possible internal injuries.
