Today, Ryan Morais announced his retirement from professional racing via his Facebook page after ten solid years on the circuit. Ryan never got the win he was chasing throughout his career, but with numerous podiums and a couple of good championship battles in the Lites class, Ryan can retire knowing he definitely left his mark on the sport.

Ryan will now move on to the next chapter in his moto life as the team manager for the Star Racing Yamaha team.

Here is what Ryan posted on his Facebook page:

Family, Friends, and Fans,

It is time for me to announce my retirement as a professional motocross racer. The opportunity to be a professional racer over the last 10 years has been an incredible journey. I would like to thank my family, friends, sponsors and fans for all of the support, encouragement and love that I have received over the years. Now that I am putting up my boots, I am excited to focus on the next chapter in my life. Therefore, it is with great pleasure that I get to announce I will be the Star Racing Yamaha’s Team manager, test rider and rider coach. I look forward to seeing you all at the races!
