At round number five of the East Regional 250SX Championship in Indianapolis, Red Bull/KTM’s Marvin Musquin pulled off the ultimate in come-from-behind wins. Marvin got tangled up with a tough block in the first-turn and was dead last, but the Frenchman—who finished lap-one in 16th—put his head down and, after fifteen laps, was the first man to reach the checkered flag.

There’s nothing more exciting  for a SX fan than seeing a race favorite battle back from a bad start, and in Indy on Saturday night, Marvin was not alone. His 250SX East rival and the Championship points leader, GEICO/Honda’s Wil Hahn, was tangled in the same tough block as Marvin. Marvin made huge statement, though, when he passed Hahn and put on a passing clinic that left him behind. While Marvin passed as many as six riders in a single lap, Wil had a little more trouble moving forward. By the final lap, though, Marvin made what should have been his final pass on AG Motorsports Kyle Peters for second, and it looked like Hahn was going to finish off the box for the first time this season, but they got a gift.

On the final lap, Rockstar Energy’s, Blake Wharton—who had led all 14 laps—crashed, handing Marvin his second-straight win and moving Hahn up to the third spot on the podium. There was a gift involved, but that does not take away from Marvin’s accomplishment. The kid showed incredible desire, and with that, the #25 now has a two-race win streak in the bank, all the momentum and is just nine points in back of Hahn.

After the race, MotoXAddicts’ Chase Yocom caught up to Marvin—while Marvin watched the 450SX podium celebration—and grabbed a quick interview. You will notice a brief pause in the middle of the audio. That’s due to Ryan Villopoto and Ryan Dungey blasting Marvin with champagne during the interview.
