Romain Febvre of the Wilvo Nestaan JM Racing KTM Team has broken his fibula while practising at the Belgian track in Genk on Thursday. On Thursday evening he visited Doctor Claes in Belgium. After several examinations Romain received the news that he needs surgery to repair the broken bone.

Romain’s surgery was planned for Friday. After the surgery it will take some time to recover and he will be out for around nine weeks. This means that he will miss a lot of Grand Prix’s and that he will drop some positions from the MX2 World Championship Standings.

Romain scored two podiums this year and sits currently in third position in the standings.
